\nper the NCKU Implementation of Policy for Preliminary Qualification examination
\nof Doctoral Degree Candidate.<\/li>\n

\ndepartment chairman takes up the position of the convener of qualification exam
\ncommittee, and invites 3 to 5 faculties in the department every semester to join the

\ncredits, and should complete qualification exam within 3 years after enrolled to the
\nuniversity. Students who failed to complete the qualification exam in the designate
\ntime frame will be dismissed from the university.<\/li>\n

\nqualification exam. The qualification exam committee will recommend two
\nprofessors to formulate questions and grade the papers.

\nSubject #1: Introductory Offshore Physics, Introductory Offshore
\nHydrodynamics (choose either of the two)<\/p>\n

\ndissertation committee. The Department Office shall notify the Registrar Division
\nafter students pass oral exam. The Registrar Division shall state “Student fulfilled the
\nPreliminary Qualification Examination, and the student’s qualification was verified for
\naccuracy” in the remarks column of the transcript.<\/li>\n
