The research results show that the SBJ is optimistic about its ability to withstand earthquakes and soil liquefaction. This test simulates the most severe environmental conditions, including liquefied sand layers up to 80 meters (generally soil liquefaction does not occur at a depth of more than 30 meters). The applied designed earthquake with a 10% probability of occurrence in 50 years (corresponding to a returned period of 475-year). Under this condition, the SBJ still provides sufficient stability for the wind turbine. In response to the development of offshore wind farms in Taiwan and the maintenance of the safe operation of offshore wind turbines, we should continue to promote the SBJ on-site installation of soil liquefaction monitoring. And due to the complex soil composition of the seabed in Taiwan, the installation behavior on-site of SBJ at the offshore wind farm needs to be continuously studied. There are more than 10 students who come from the university, master&#8217;s, and doctoral classes involved in this huge experiment. The test used a large model up to 4 meters high and conformed to the scale of the real wind turbine support structure.
